Great Features
I have had my microwave for a couple months and I'm still learning all the cool features. It can sensor cook food as well as reheat left over and heat your beverage or bakery products. Looks great and easy to keep clean. Light and fan work great as well.

Need a solution to over the range hood combination
Bought a YWML3501KS model for our cottage. It is now making a loud sound and not heating when trying to use. Suspect it is a magnetron and diode issue from what I've found. Is this the likely issue and is it worth while repairing?

Vents above the door
I bought the Wirlpool over the range microwave Model # YWML55011HS after installed for vent outside wall, i found there is strong air blowing out the front left & right vent above the door hinge. All the vents cover installed corectly as in the installation instructions. I can hear damper close when turn fan off but a lot of air blowing out from vent above the door hinge.

Sensory setting
Just installed in Feb and I find the sensory setting very strange. It doesn't seem to stop but runs forever. Should it stop when food is warmed???

Looks great
I bought this about a month ago; I find you have to push very firmly for the buttons and the fan; wish the control panel was on the outside. Fan is very powerful. Very nice looking microwave.

Love the microwave!
Love the unit, bought it for its low profile feature. Very clean lines! Would have been a 5 star if it wasn’t for the fact that the box was missing the turntable and 3 weeks after talking to Whirlpool to have them send us another one, we are still waiting.

Quality flaws
Seems like a good product but does has flaws. Inside glass plate roller wheel is poorly designed. For whatever reason there is no Whirlpool plate marker on the door as per the pictures from the website. Takes away from having a matching appliance brand when it doesn’t display it anywhere.

Disappointing
I didn’t realize it would extend so far out from the cupboards.
Also I chose to upgrade to smudge proof but for the amount of space designed for this feature is not worth the extra money.
I would recommend if this is not a priority for you and you don’t mind the depth.

Very sleek looking
I love this microwave. I have the black stainless that matches my other whirlpool appliances. It suits my needs perfectly. I live in a condo and the slim line fits in perfectly with my space. It freed up space where my other microwave was and the fan is much better than my old range hood fan. If I had to make any complaints it would be the lighting. I would have liked more lighting above the stove. The light is more like a night light and does not provide enough light for me to cook. That is the only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star. Fortunately for me I have some directional ceiling lighting so I can manage.

Great Microwave!
This is my second whirlpool low profile microwave. I have one at my cottage and most recently, purchased on from our new home. I love the low profile ; it looks so sleek and is easy to access. It takes a while to get used to having to push the buttons before you close the door ( accept for the 30 sec quick reheat bottom) but once you are used to it, it's fine!

Still new and effective but...
It does a good job cleaning dishes and the noise levels when operating are not noticeable or annoying. The large plastic screen that the filter inserts into isn't flush when installed after only one month after purchase. Hopefully this doesn't get any worse.

Small but mighty!
Purchased for a kitchen renovation in black stainless steel. There is a bulkhead above the stove, so needed the slimness to allow for ample space underneath. The microwave itself was easy to install with the included bracket. Functionally, it works incredibly and is surprisingly capacious. Various functions for reheating, defrosting, and otherwise cooking food. I had the fan vented outside and it also works very well. For the speed at which it moves air, it is reasonably quiet (on highest setting, you can still talk to others in the kitchen, but probably need to increase the volume at which you speak - lowest setting is very easily spoken though). The integrated LED lights are also fantastic with 3 levels of brightness.

Very satisfied
We bought this model about two months ago and so far are very satisfied. The profile and look are fantastic - much less bulky than other microwaves but still with ample capacity inside for all our dishes/cups/bowls that would normally go in the microwave. Performance is good, it heats food quickly and efficiently. My only minor complaint is that the panel buttons are not very sensitive so you really need to place your finger and push with a bit more pressure than I would like (easy to operate but you need to make distinct button pushes). This is a very minor issue, and probably about the same as most microwaves anyway. Overall, still a strong recommendation for a microwave.

Super Sleek
Extremely pleased with this microwave! We our bulky microwave in our 5th wheel RV with this sleek, slim unit and we couldn't be happier. It does everything our bigger, bulkier unit did and leaves us way more working clearance between the stove top and the bottom of the microwave and the ventilation fan is superb! I would definitely recommend this product.

Clean apperance but sub par microwave
Main reason we bought this was to clear up counter space and it definitely does that and looks great. But in terms of microwave ability it is not as strong and even as my previous $100 basic microwave. Also, it's a bit annoying that the buttons are underneath the door, so you have to enter the time before closing but it does give it a cleaner look . So it comes down to what your priorities are

Installed it 2 months ago and just love it. Very sleek looking. Great for a modern kitchen. The only downside I have is the colour of the light. I find it is too yellow. We like the daylight colour. The 30 sec feature is great. Also love the sensor.

Love the low profile
Previous to getting the Low Profile Microwave I had a regular size OTR Microwave. For over 10 years I only used one front burner on my stove because I could not see the dials. It is so great with the Low Profile Microwave to be able to use all the burners on my store.
