This large capacity front load washer includes the FreshFlow™ Vent System, the first fan-powered system with antimicrobial protection designed to help keep your clothes and washer fresh. This system includes a trio of features like the FanFresh® Option to keep clothes fresh until they're moved to the dryer. The Dry Drum Cycle to reduce excess moistures in the washer drum and door after a wash. And a rubber seal with antimicrobial protection to help prevent the growth of odour-causing bacteria.

Dry Drum Cycle

After you take the clothes out, close your washer door and select the Dry Drum Cycle. A powerful fan reduces excess moisture from the drum, rubber gasket and door.

FanFresh® Option

Keep your clothes fresh in the washer after a cycle. The FanFresh® Option uses a built-in fan and periodic tumbling to keep your just-washed clothes fresh until they're ready for the dryer, using less energy than you would re-washing your clothes.*

Rated 2 out of 5 by Vky55 from Full operating instructions are not provided. I bought this washer because of the anti-bacterial door seal. There were no instructions provided regarding all of the different cycles. Not happy that I had to search the internet for information about how to use my washer. I like the dry drum feature but don't like that it takes 4 hours. The 57 min. normal cycle takes a few minutes to start and finishes with 10 minutes still left to go. I am not confident that my clothes have been washed properly. Some cycles are far too long. 2.12 hours for towels is a waste of energy. I can't set up a customized cycle unless I do it via WiFi plus no instructions as to how to do this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mary Lynn from A MANUAL WOULD BE NICE! After many years of having a Sears Kenmore washing machine, I finally had to trade it in - for a Whirlpool! I have never had anything but a Kenmore washing machine (among other appliances) so I was meeting this with trepidation! I only gave the machine a 4-star rating because there was NO MANUAL that came with it!! I could not get one online either!! I finally did obtain one, and had mostly figured out how to run it anyway - but it should not have been difficult to obtain a manual - just give them out is my recommendation. Otherwise, the machine is pretty good, though seems touchier with the loading weights than my other one. We shall see how long it lasts!

Rated 4 out of 5 by SW28 from Great Features! Purchased this washer about 2 months ago to replace a failing LG. Installation was easy. Lots of features/cycles. Can hook up Wi-Fi using the Whirlpool app (the app could use some work though, not the most user friendly - compared to the old LG app). The chime that plays when the washer is done is not overly loud though, not sure why they don't have a louder chime since a lot of washers are in the basement. Ensure to run cleaning cycle monthly and leave the door open when not in use (to dry). Besides the little things mentioned, overall we are very happy with it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Makethemliketheyusedto from Somewhat pleased I bought this just over a month ago. It has been a relatively average product so far. I must say that I am surprised at how loud it is. I am glad that it is in my basement and not on the main level of my home. Today when I did a load of laundry and the cycle finished I went to put in another load and noticed that the dispenser slot for the fabric softener was still full. It was mainly just water being a slight bluish colour from the blue of the fabric softener. I emptied the watery liquid and my last two washes have been fine. I will be keeping an eye on it though. It’s disappointing that the machines don’t seem as sturdy as they once were. Even the machine doors seem very flimsy. You really have to slam them in order for them to catch and stay closed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by No Warranty from No Warranty I am now 10 weeks without a functioning washer. It arrived defective early 2025 and I have been trying to get this NEW unit fixed since. Calling into customer service does nothing. We are in a continuous loop of wasting my time calling every week to tell me the parts should arrive next week. At this point one would think they'd replace the washer but no, they just keep telling me one more week and now here we are in March. I paid for a product warranty but they refuse to address it. Do not accept a warranty that allows Whirlpool to leave you indefinitely waiting for parts, on a NEW unit!

However, the hoops and loops I was put thru between Canadian Appliance Source in south Edmonton and Whirlpool was a gong show and we were very frustrated with your service. The washer delivered was defective and water POURED out the bottom on the first fill without ever doing one load. CAS did nothing and referred me to Whirlpool. After spending over 7 hours on the phone I finally got a lady to help. From my date of purchase, it took 6 weeks before I did my first load of laundry. The best and most pleasent service was receive form the delivery men.

Rated 1 out of 5 by LG90 from DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE OR ANY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS WHIRLPOOL MODEL #wfw5720rw0 Worst machine and this company does not care to remedy issues in a timely manner. I bought this machine in September 2025. When the washer was delivered I noticed the side of the washer had a bit of damage on the side of it. It was a week later that I had noticed it. I called to have the item replaced. I had to fight tooth and nail to have a replacement sent. They finally agreed and so I received another brand new machine. 4 months have passed (Jan 28, 2026) The washing machine suddenly dies - no power. I call Whirlpool as it is still within the 1 year warranty. A technician comes the next day to service it. He tells me it’s the motherboard and the part is on back order and is not scheduled to arrive for 3 to 4 weeks. He told me 31 of these parts are on back order. I call Whirlpool again and complain about the ridiculous timeframe. I expressed the obvious to them that I will not be able to wash (for a family of 4) our clothes/towels/bedsheets etc for 3-4 weeks. Their solution was a $100 credit which I scoffed at. I demanded they send me a replacement machine as I would receive this sooner than the part. They refused to do so. The best they could do was try to expedite the part which would still be a minimum of two weeks and extend my warranty by a year. Not good enough. They would not budge so now I am left with a defective machine and unable to wash our belongings. The motherboard is a common issue with these machines. I had bought the Whirlpool Duet 15 years ago and same thing. Motherboard had to be replaced within the year. You would think Whirlpool would try to fix this common problem with these machines, maybe have ample stock of these parts or actually build a machine that won’t die in the first few months of use but I guess quality control isn’t their top priority. Do yourself a favour, don’t by this machine and stay away from Whirlpool products in general as their customer service is one of the worst I’ve ever dealt with.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Boynton25 from Dissolving issues for pods and scent booster Purchased 6 weeks ago, pods do not dissolve properly in about 1/3 of my loads and I am finding some of the scent booster around the rubber ring of the front load washer. Whirlpool was not helpful, they do not provide any phone support, and said a technician would come to the house but would charge if there washer "worked as intended"
