Rated 4 out of 5 by Minou from Very quiet operation My last dishwasher was very noisy so when I was making a new purchase the one thing I wanted to have was a very quiet dishwasher. This model is 48 dB and you can barely hear it when you’re sitting in the same room. I also tried one with a third rack which is good for flatware. The only thing I would change is that the interior is stainless steel and the racks are all very dark gray so when you’re putting on silverware on gray rocks in a stainless tub it’s a little difficult to see. Racks that would be in a contrasting colour white or lighter gray or blue would make it a little bit easier to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by kacowan from Sleek and functional Have had this for a couple of months now. The controls are on the top of the door so nicely out of the way. You can tell what cycle it is on by the color of the light indicator. The shortest cycle is just over an hour and the longest is 8 hours. Regular wash is just over 3 hours. The dishes come out clean and have been using the rinsing aid so no water spots. Had a bit of an issue initially with the collection cup at the bottom as it kept floating up and getting caught on the blade but was able to finally get the cup securely clicked in and that problem has been resolved. The manual was not very clear on that process.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Senior in age only from Top marks We bought our unit late April/22. Ubnit was resonably priced with good features and has worked fine so far. We run it about every 2 days & always on the 1 hr wash cycle which we find washes everything well. Easy to load & unload. The 3rd (top) rack is a nice feature & cleans everything we put there quite well. The control buttons are on the top of the door so once you've set it & close the door there's no chance of bumping into a control button on the front of the door (as on our old unit) & screwing up the cycle that's running. It does everything we need it to do & does it so our satisfaction.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pga5562 from Good at 3.5*. I have tested and now have used my Whirlpool dishwasher. And these are observations: 1. It has a bigger capacity compared to my old Whirlpool. 2. It is not loud at 47dcb compared to the old one. 3. It cleans very well. However, I noticed the following: 1. The cycle is very long like 7 hrs.; again compared to my old one. 2. It doesn't dry even if I used to Extended Dry cycle. I had to wipe the interior wall and slightly kept the door it ajar to dry the machine. 3. There was a bit of bad smell the last time I used the machine. 4. The plates, cups, etc. were dry after the cycle. 4. I worry about rusting on the interior of the machine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by VB16 from Love the top rack for utensils I’ve been using this dishwasher for the last few months now and it’s been great. I really like the top rack for utensils or other smaller items. It allows me to have so much extra space at the bottom not having to have the tray for utensils in it. Only thing I’ve noticed is that the “normal wash” says it’s 3 hours & 6 mins long and when I’ve come back into the kitchen I’ve noticed on two separate occasions that the dishwasher was showing times that were higher like 3 hours & 26 minutes.. so after a hour the time had gone up ? Not to sure what’s going on with that but the dishes do come out very clean. It’s quiet when on which is a plus.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jason from Cleans and is quiet, except.... I bought this to replace our 12yr old Sears Kenmore for a kitchen upgrade(the Kenmore still worked great btw). So our new Whirlpool, apart from 3yrs between cleaning cycles options, its quiet and cleans well. The one issue I have is, the dishes after the drying cycle are no drier than if you threw them in a sink full of water,.. HOW could engineers have failed to see this,.. and this dishwasher went into production,.. for shame Whirlpool for shame. My wife wish's we could have our old dishwasher back, and return this lawn sprinkler. I said sorry hun, they probably don't care,.. and look on the bright side, we get to mop the floor every time we run a cycle though the dishwasher.

Rated 1 out of 5 by nota waitress from Garbage product and customer service We bought this dishwasher during a renovation and did not install it until a couple of months after delivery. It has been installed less than 2 years and just stopped working. We placed a service call 5 months ago and have still not have the problem resolved. The whirlpool recommended technician gave us a report number to call and ask Whirlpool about the service call. The first time I callled they told me the technician had not entered his information so they couldn't help me. The lady I spoke told me that I could purchase an out of warranty extended warranty. But it would not help with this service call because we had already paid the technician for his service visit...that achieved nothing but providing us with this report number. I have called back for the second time and the lady told me the technician has closed the inquiry. Then I was put on hold and disconnected. Extremely disappointed with the dishwasher and customer service. I will never purchase one of their products again.

After the dishes were washed, I pulled the top rack out and the front wheel of the position rack shattered into 4 pieces. I'm always gentle using my appliances but with this wheel hitting the stop guard, I couldnt believe how cheap this plastic is. Now its going to cost me $65 for a whole piece. You cant just by a wheel. When Im at a appliance store I will take a look at other dishwashers and see if they are all as cheap as this one. Other than that problem, I love this dishwasher. Very quiet, lots of room for dishes, and drys very well without useing the dryer option

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rebecca from Wouldn’t buy whirlpool dishwasher again. Dishwasher started off strong. 2 days after manufactures warranty runs out the dishwasher will not drain. Luckily we paid for extended warranty. However. The repair company did approve repairs. Said it was too young to have such major repairs required of that exent. So. We were refunded the sale price of $799 but no taxes included and not were we able to transfer the extended warranty to the new machine. $636 later out of our pocket, we have a Bosch coming. Need a new fridge and really debating on whether we choose Whirlpool or not. Luckily

Rated 1 out of 5 by Matthew from Would not recommend Whirlpool Our dishwasher has been nothing but trouble since purchasing. Everytime we wash our dishes, the filter pump at the bottom pops out. We've also had the detergent come out of the compartment entirely at the beginning of the wash, falling to the bottom. Since we've bought it, we've had to deal with clean dishes maybe once per month. The other times, we get dirty dishes. In fact, this dishwasher just spreads dirt around to other plates. It is so bad that we've had family members fall ill due to this dishwashers poor design. When we contacted whirlpool about it, they suggested that we pay $300 to extend the warranty, for a defective product. Not only should this not be sold, it should be reported to health authorities.
