Very disappointed
Have had this washer for a month now. Nowhere near enough water to clean clothes and agitate them properly. Dark clothes come out with soap deposits on them, and I am using HE liquid detergent!! Even the deep water wash/rinse does not cover the items. How clothes are meant to be washed properly when there are only a couple inches of water in the tub is beyond me. I could put up with the noise if the washer actually washed clothes!!

Unreliable, electronics went twice in 15 mos
Unfortunately electronics on my machine were malfunctioning upon delivery. Eventually was repaired under warranty after sitting on hold for an hour. At 15 mos mark it has quit again, not washing, making strange noises, lights flashing. $150 for repair a van to pull into driveway. The 12 cycles all do the same thing to varying degrees, soak cycle may help if that is what you require. Could never figure out how to use fabric softner (? only on dble rinse) does not use much water hence comforter came out dry and unwashed on bulky cycle with deep water wash, evenly distributed (pet hair still visible) Left running to laudramat in disappointment. Would Return it if I Could!
Home Depot in Ontario convinced me that this Whirlpool Top Loading high efficiency Washer was better than the one I had been looking at so I purchased it. I have now had it for a month and wished I had never bought it. The "Auto sensing Fill" does not sense how big the wash load is and barely puts in enough water to cover half the load. When you put it on Deep Water Wash/Rinse it's not much better! Your wash ends up covered in white powdery lint that even if you catch when still wet, doesn't rub off easily and if you don't catch until clothes ate dry? Good luck getting it off... Why this huge machine won't wash a load to even half capacity is a mystery!
My old machine took 40 minutes for a large load to wash and rinse. This machine takes an hour...it's less only if you put it on the Quick
Wash Cycle and Auto Sensing fill BUT you can only put in a few items if you want them washed without the white mess!
So disappointed that I purchased this machine and wish I could afford to ditch it and buy a different one

Learning curve but good.
We purchased this unit just over six weeks ago. While we were looking forward to having and using a brand new washing machine after using our last machine for about twenty five years. Well, let me tell you,it’s definitely a learning curve, having done laundry the same way for so many years. But, once we started adjusting our way of doing laundry and following instructions and tips, it seems to be working well. The hardest parts are getting used to the new amounts of soap to use and not being able to open the lid to check or add clothes without pausing the cycle. We just have to learn to set it and forget it, walk away and come back when it’s done.

Great Products
Very happy with my whirlpool product - when they say they dont make em like they used to, that is very true among the products you get today, but im very happy with how this product has turned out
there are only three key features i wish it had:
option to keep water running / fill tub with the lid open - it turns off while its filling
option to pick "medium, large, small" size load - but i suppose its being assessed via autosensor?
option to not continue to filling once you add an addition item on auto sensor, sometimes its just a sock or a cloth, i dont think additional water is required at that point

Excellent features!
I bought this washing machine a month ago. It took me a few times to get used to the different sounds, not selecting a water level ( it does it for me!) , so no excess water usage. The HUGE wash tub was the selling point for me, along with it having an agitator ( old school here). I was unimpressed with 1 wash cycle, removing dried mud from a coat but a little hand scrub, and back in, and it was fine. The tub handles a large load easily, as well as a Queen sized comforter. Only down side I'm concerned with, is the start button. It seems flimsy, and I worry it will break . Beyond that, I'm so far impressed, and happy with my purchase!

Easy to use
I am very happy with my new washer. It has loads of room and can take a lot. I have yet to try washing anything really bulky, like a bedspread, but based on what I have seen am pretty sure it will handle a job like that with ease. Controls are clear and I like the fact that electronics are kept to a minimum. I am caring for a chronically ill family member so am washing small to medium sized loads each and every day. I am still getting used to how long the various cycles are but that's about the most difficult aspect I can report. Clothes are consistentlt clean and much dryer when finished than they were from my old machine.

Basic yet has everything I need at the right price
I looked at all the fancy ones, such as the recommended by Consumer Reports LG 7100 series, that cost twice as much. This has everything needed for an effective wash, with stainless steel drum and water sensors or by using deep soak also. What it doesn't have is a PCB board designed to fail after the warranty expires, that would add another $250 to $500 to the cost. This is the best one to buy according to my extensive research. Everything I need and nothing I don't. I fully expect this washer to outlive me. Thanks to Whirlpool for still making the most reliable appliances at a reasonable price.

Very Disappointed
As a long time Kenmore user, I was unable to buy a new Kenmore as they are no longer being made. The Leon's Salesman convinced me that the Whirlpool set I purchased was a great buy. Well, I should have heeded the signs from the beginning. The delivery date was a mix up, when it was sorted out, the dryer had a dent in it and the machine would not work. Both had to be returned. Another delivery date was scheduled and yet another mix up. At any rate, I did receive the set and have since been very disappointed with both of them. Clothes are not cleaned properly, and often require a second, third and sometimes fourth wash. Clearly not enough water is being filled into the drum, so dark and white loads come out with a soapy residue regardless of the amount of soap used. Also, the wash cycles tend to run longer than half an hour, so one would expect the clothes would be thoroughly cleaned with the first wash. As for the dryer, after running a 50-60 minute cycle, clothes were not fully dried. This is unacceptable, extremely disappointing and a total waste of money. I should have done more research and read reviews before making this purchase. I have been doing laundry for many years and have never experienced anything like this. Especially with a brand new machine. I've had better service from used machines than these new ones. I will not buy another Whirlpool product.....It was an expensive lesson to learn, but one well learned. One more thing.....I would caution about buying a machine without an agitator. Could possibly be the reason for the results seen here.

Not very impressive
Takes a really long time to fill up when using the bulky sheets option but i only use bulky sheets option, if not clothes don’t wash properly and not enough water. it has a huge drum but will not let you wash more than a small amount of clothes if you use any other option besides bulky sheets for example if you plan on washing more than two pair of jeans along with a few shirts and maybe a few pairs of socks I would recommend the bulky sheets option. The lid locks after filling before the wash cycle(useless feature) to unlock you must pause the wash or spin cycle which can take a while to unlock during spin.
